Humanitarian. Prison Service
Progress Links offers counseling and support, mainly in the form of needed
items, to those who have found themselves behind bars for various reasons.
This gives them the willing heart and mind to receive our team for counseling.
During counseling, we try to win their hearts to realize and accept that
they find themselves behind bars – in isolation – not because society
hates them, but the contrary, society loves them and would expect them
to live responsible lives. Thus, society has been compelled to send them
there for correction since their activities were both inimical and non-harmonious
to its norms.
In counseling, we discover that over 90% of ex-prisoners who have been
convicted again tell us that they learned to be even 'harder' and intrepid
of consequences while serving their first terms in jails. Evidently, the
lack of proper counseling is the result of such malign habits.
Would you like to know how you may be of help?
There are many ways
- If you are a counselor, or desire to serve the good cause of humanity,
you are welcome to join us during one of our visits. Please contact
us for details about our schedule.
- You may support our efforts by donating needed items.
- You may tell others about this activity and how they could be a part
of it.
- You may offer some advice.
We invite you to join us in our efforts to transform the prisoners' lives
so that they become responsible, acceptable, non-dangerous people to society
on their release.
